| HR told me that I would not be able to stay for more than 90 days in japan and have to be back in london by 8th Jan after consulting some lawyers.... my plans are all spoiled now and i have only 3 weeks left here.... starting to miss this place already... this was definitely a great experience here are more photos: the street where my apartment (the white building on the right) is

| Japan public holiday today! planned to go out but turned out sleeping for the whole day....it's getting dark already so guess i'll just go out and buy some food..... (today is the first day that i actually stayed home without going anywhere.....have been shopping a little too much) i need a good rest...... will be going to Nikko tmr with my 2 colleagues and some other ppl from another dept...gotta wake up at 6 sth.... hope it's going to be fun and not too cold  my stay has been extended to 1 Feb now.....think i will still come back to hk during christmas.... |

| I'm here for one month now....time flies...only 1 and a half month left... planning to extend my stay here for work reasons... but now checking if this is possible cuz apparently staying for more than 90 days will lead to tax obligations... let's see how it goes... i have been enjoying living in this place... but in terms of work... it's much more busy and stressful compared to london... so weekend is the best time to walk around and shop! parents were here last week.... been going out every night for dinner with them...(eating so much that i threw up after they left... and had to go home from work earlier and rest....now my colleagues have been telling me 'don't go crazy and eat a lot' before going into restaurants.....) my parents and i also went to hakone for 2 days.. which is a small hot spring area outside tokyo.... we stayed at one of those traditional hot spring hotels.... had language problems with the staff there.... she speaks minimal english and i speak very little japanese... luckily we managed to sort out things at the end.....the hot spring there was nice and relaxing....  
 
on the second day we visited the hakone glass forest which was really pretty.... they had trees and waterfall made of crystals and a museum showing different glass displays...  
tmr is the start of work again.... hope things will go ok......must add oil! |

| I have arrived at Tokyo! will start working tmr.... really wonder what it will be like...in terms of the work culture and the actual nature of my work.....all i know is that my team will be small (3 ppl including me)... afterall they send me over becuz there is lack of ppl working in market risk here.... went exploring the nearby area today.. it takes about 20 mins walk to get to the office...there are not many shops around.... mainly office buildings and some small stores....prob will go somewhere else to shop or buy food in weekends.... i am still finding it unbelievable that i'm actually here all by myself at this time of the year... got this weird feeling when i was on the plane.. not flying to hk but to japan...but now it feels so much closer to home (only 1 hr time difference) anywaz... better get prepared for tmr |

| i will be going to Tokyo for work!!!! will be leaving in 2 weeks time and staying until around 21st Dec!! better grab my japanese book and recap + improve on my japanese in order to survive....pls come to visit me |
